To make this layout cut out various flowers from your paper. Layer and use your foam circle to give the flowers dimension. Add brads and buttons to the centers. For an added pop to the flower add layers of felt buy simply cutting around your flower. Sew the flowers stems, and add journaling to the stems.

Back To School Tomorrow

 

So sad school is back in session tomorrow. I love my kiddos home...maybe that is what pushed me over the edge to add an addition to our family?? That and the four cute human faces begging me over and over and over. We had to put our sweet dog to sleep awhile back and since then it has been non stop. I have never had cats, to be honest they scare me. But I also want my children to grow up with animals, so I gave in. My only stipulation was that we had to adopt from the Humane Society, hahaha oh how that one came back to bite me. As we were bonding with the kitten I had chosen, the boys spotted a black cute friend and wanted to play with it. So there we were with two kittens trying to decide which one we loved, when the lady said very triumphantly "It is FREE adoption day, so you can take BOTH home." And the kids went wild, at that point why not two, it was a big step for one but if you are going to take that big step you might as well make it a leap. So we now have two kittens, and I must say I am in love, and the grey one (that I chose) Has chosen me as her master. She loves me, and the rest of the family but I am her favorite.

And yes Luna's fur always looks like her tail got stuck in the light socket. I also always said that if I EVER got a cat it would have to be the cutest cat ever.....ummmmm....well....both kittens are orphans and I have tried everything and no luck still the ugly ducklings that I adore :)

And by the way I am allergic to them, but I am not telling the fam.

 

My favorite thing to do is nothing with Tyler :)

Tyler is still my boy who will do ANYTHING even if that is nothing. This day we just went outside and did nothing and it was so much fun!!! Tonight we are heading out to the pool just to float and do nothing. Ever tried just doing nothing?

Stopping to smell the roses

 

Being that for us we now have 6 days of summer left we are trying to slow down and take the rest of summer in. So on Tuesday Taylor and I went to a friends house and just took time to play with the horses. They are all so sweet and even though is was 113 outside it was still a highlight of summer.

 

 

 

I love INSTAGRAM !!!

I know as a photographer it is crazy that I love instagram....here is why. I don't expect perfect photos, I don't have to import or export my photos, I don't have to edit my photos, and I can just take quick real life photos. My Special Girl

 

My little Gracie. She is the cutest darn thing ever! I love this layout that showcases both her sides, the sweet and the "I know I have been naughty" side. She had a passion for chasing birds, which is all fun and games until she proudly comes in to show how triumphant she was in catching one. Oh that girl. I miss her on quiet days like these. Missing her non stop bark and missing that mischievous face. We moved and since the move she was not doing well in our new house. Not enough room to get her wiggles out. She is in a great new home with a family that ADORES her. We miss her so I made this layout to have out for the kids to see.

I love the American Crafts products on the layout and I especially LOVE my Thickers :) Look at what is on it's way to my doorstep....

Thrift Store Finds

I love to go to the thrift store and see what I can find to re-purpose. Today I found 2 frames. I love how their frame shape is similar. These were super easy just some fresh spray paint and some cute embellishments.

 

 

 

 

A love for hiking

 

The boys and I try and go hiking a few days a week. I would not say that we are very good at it, but we do love it. I am so sad only 3 more weeks of it until we are  back in school mode. I am going to cherish each and every summer day that we have left. Here is a shot of Tyler taking a break :)
