Today I am showing you the first two pages of my album from yesterday. Have you noticed this year the craze of documenting your week, or month, or day? Really capturing the everyday stuff. I am not saying that this method by any means is to replace your scrapbooks, but rather add to it. Let's be honest how many of us really capture the everyday stuff.....dirty laundry, making dinner, running errands. I know that I do not. I want my family to look cute, I would never take my teenage daughter's photo of just waking up (until now, just please do not tell her ;) ).
My process is going to simple for my Everyday Life Album for this year. I will only be using my iphone as my camera, remember I am not going for perfection I am going towards capturing the everyday. So this way my kids are more tolerant of my snapping photos, and it is MUCH easier than lugging around my big camera. I am going to print all of my photos myself, or just run them through COSTCO. Remember choose whatever is going to be easiest for you!!!
Let's take a look at what I did for this month...I know I know it is September, but that is where these photos were taken from :) To make it even easier, for this month I put photos in the day that they were taken so I have a month at a glance at what was happening. I love this idea. Something totally different and fun. Of course I will add in additional photos and documentation, but this gives you an idea at how simple this can be.
Are you catching the bug yet? Can you just imagine all of the possibilities? I can't wait next month to try taking 12 photos on the twelfth day of 2012. Yup 12 photos in one day...kind of documenting your routien.
The second page is a bit more detailed talking about one story. This is where you can highlight the most important things. And because I really wanted to highlight 2 stories I cut the envelope into a book of sorts...
I am so excited about this process!!! I will let you know as soon as these new calendar pages are available. As for now you can always get out 8.5x11 pages here that are very similar.
Enjoy the process!!!
I love this idea - it seems a lot more manageable than the other's that you mentioned!
