My Special Girl

 

My little Gracie. She is the cutest darn thing ever! I love this layout that showcases both her sides, the sweet and the "I know I have been naughty" side. She had a passion for chasing birds, which is all fun and games until she proudly comes in to show how triumphant she was in catching one. Oh that girl. I miss her on quiet days like these. Missing her non stop bark and missing that mischievous face. We moved and since the move she was not doing well in our new house. Not enough room to get her wiggles out. She is in a great new home with a family that ADORES her. We miss her so I made this layout to have out for the kids to see.

I love the American Crafts products on the layout and I especially LOVE my Thickers :) Look at what is on it's way to my doorstep....

Thrift Store Finds

I love to go to the thrift store and see what I can find to re-purpose. Today I found 2 frames. I love how their frame shape is similar. These were super easy just some fresh spray paint and some cute embellishments.

 

 

 

 

A love for hiking

 

The boys and I try and go hiking a few days a week. I would not say that we are very good at it, but we do love it. I am so sad only 3 more weeks of it until we are  back in school mode. I am going to cherish each and every summer day that we have left. Here is a shot of Tyler taking a break :)

I just took photos today of Presley today, she is almost two and I adore her so much. I had to do a layout right away with this AC product, it match so perfectly.....just makes me swoon.

Now anyone who knows me knows that I do not like Halloween as a holiday....but these papers actually have me excited for Halloween this year. I love the mix of patterns and colors. And I loved making this layout :)

Tips for making

 

Cut 9 paper squares to 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 I used 4 different patterns

Cut 3 4x6 photos to the same 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

On two of the more solid patterns I used transparencies and added embellishments.

 

For the title use just a bit darker color font than the paper you are using. Everything on the page is about being subtle. That is why I only used 3 colors in the layout with so much going on you still want the photos to be the main focus.

 

Self Timer and a freebie!!!

Hello Friday. I have been missing you all week. Today for you I found a freebie.....I love freebies!!! It is a free set of digital frames. I wanted to use them so much that I took my hubby and my camera out and used the self timer to get some new shots. Some turned out and some did not, but here is one that I liked using the new free frames that I found. Happy Friday!!!

 

Make you own bag today!!!

 

I love DIY projects, and this one was SO easy!!! No sewing at all, just some fabric, a glue gun, and stamps.

The canvas bag is about $6.00 at JoAnn's.

For the bottom, glue in small sections, I started with the side edge first. Make sure you fold under the edge so it is covered, and scruntch your fabric as you lay it into the glue.

Next I did about 3 inches at a time first the bottom and then the top.

As you go along I did a few center glue spots, and I grabbed the fabric and kind of twisted before I layed it into the glue.

Continue until your bottom layer is done.

Do the same to your second layer.

Finish with your favorite stamps. I chose Hampton Art stamps.
