So anyone who knows me knows that I love albums!!! And these are right up my alley. So perfect, and I love that they are a blank canvas for you to play on, or just a clean classic look.
Here is the first album I made. It is 8.5 x 11with a blue spine DT0045 Memories Sentiments.
I added an orange scallop using Threading water punch.
For the circles I used 4.5 X 9 scalloped envelopesDT0018 as well as the butterflies.
I punched the butterflies with the Martha Stewart punch.
The butterflies are each popped up using 3-D dots. I love how colorful and fun this album is.
To finish off the album I used Hampton Arts "remember" stampand used versamark watermark ink, for a barely there look.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Album #2. This one is actually my day timer/notebook.
A peek at the catalog. I am just loving all the new Ditto Product. This journal is pretty straight forward, just using all of the great products. I am in love with the stamps and the ink from the Ditto collection!!!
Look at how fast and easy just a few photos and a few products are to make a notebook, or even scrapbook pages. Today is just a day of simple sharing.
I am in love with all of the different pages in the inserts.
Are the wheels spinning in your head? Can you just imagine all of the different possibilities???
Look for another post tomorrow!!!

Full of change and full of growth. Sometimes the hardest things that we go through we end up growing the most. I love you so much Madisann. Here is a song she wrote today.

Growing up can be hard. Madisann let us know this week that she no longer wants to play the cello, and would like to leave Arizona School for the Arts to attend Pinnacle. Talk about a shock to the system, trust me - when I went to bed and closed the door there were tears. Tears knowing what an AMAZING gift she has been given , tears knowing that I will not hear the amazing music that her orchestra performs, tears knowing that I will not hear the sweet music pouring down from upstairs, tears knowing that she told me that she had prayed about it and knew that this decision was the right one. SO although it took me a day I understand and support her decision. It will not do anyone any good to force her to stay with it, she will not be happy and she will end up hating the cello. So I am hoping this is just a break, but if it is for good then at least she had an AMAZING 3 years with the cello. Here is a clip from the beginning of this last school year. Remember she is in 8th grade and plays like this. I love you Madisann, you are a gift and a joy and I support any decision that you make.
This is what her passion is....this and musical theater. She wrote this song about a week befor ethis performance ....and taught herself to play the guitar a year ago....and that is my camera clicking away in the background :)

Today it is time for a how to.
Supplies needed
1 - 5x7 photo
2 - 12x12 sheets of cardstock --I used grey and periwinkle
a tag -- I used Hampton Arts DT0028 Solid Tags
a title -- I used Hampton Arts stamps DT0047 Ditto Labels 1 and DT0046 This Day Sentiments
and a stamp that is some sort of thin line -- here I used 2 different words from the same DT0046 This Day Sentiments.
Start by tracing a circle onto your cardstock. You will want to choose which color is your base and which is your stamping color. For mine I used grey as the base and periwinkle as the stamping color. I used 2 different sized plates from my cupboard. Trace the large first, and then center the small inside of the large.
Now it is time to stamp.
Lay your acrylic block down over the circle, if you do not have a block a CD cover works great too. You just want to be able to see what you are doing. Here you will place your clear stamp following the curve of the circle. Then you will be ready to stamp around the entire circle at a perfect curve. Instead of taking off each phrase to be able to stamp the second phrase, I used these same steps of lining up on the curve with my second phrase onto a CD cover. Now I am ready to ink and stamp my image. Re-ink your stamp every time and take your time and make sure the curve is lining up.
Now that you have your circle stamped all the way, look to see if you have any mess ups or a bad spot, if you have one then start your cutting there. This can go under your photo and be hidden. You will want to cut out the inside and the outside edge of the circle. And on your mess up you can cut right through the circle since it will be covered and will make it easier to cut.
Use your tag for journaling. And stamp a title, or use a pre made title, or even stamp or use alphabet stickers. Adhere your circle center to the page. Adhere your 5x7 photo to the left of the page, covering the circle and 1' in from the left side. Adhere your tag and title to the bottom right corner of the photo and you are good to go.
A very clean and simple layout. I can't wait to give this to Melissa this weekend.
