March 25th....am I still alive???

Sorry to have been away for so long, but I threw my back out exactly 12 days ago....NOT FUN!!!!!! I start physical therapy tomorrow. I am not one who sits still very long, but after it first went out and then started getting better and I pushed it I am now being a good doobie trying my best to lay down with my feet up most of the day. I must say though I feel the best today that I have felt in 12 days. So ready for this to be over!!! So I have nothing new but here is an oldie. Have a great day and weekend.

March 12.....Barnes & Noble reading

We had the best evening listening to stories. Yes I did shed a few tears, the boys were both so confident and read with enthusiasm, it was awesome.

I know I am a few days behind, I promise I will do better. Right now Maddy has this week off for presentation week, so we have been getting ready and practicing for that, and next week is Spring Break, so I have been getting all of my work done so that I can spend some time with the kids. So far this week we had 1 cello competition, Bio-tech night for Ty and Zack, Young Author's stories due and judged, 2 award ceremonies today, 4-8pm tonight at Barns & Noble for Young Author's readings. Ty got 3rd and Zack 2nd place. Taylor has play practice, then straight to a Relay for Life meeting. She and another friend are setting up a team for school they are completely in charge. Then she and Maddy have Young Women's tonight. Taylor has a game tomorrow, Maddy has Play Practice, and Zack has scouts. Next week will be a great week for all!!!

March 7th......a competition and Zack did AMAZING!!!!!

Today was a special day, Zack had a cello competition, and he did AMAZING!!! We will not know how he placed until next week, but he is a blue ribbon in my eyes. He is only in 4th grade and just started the cello this year, but man that boy can play!!!

March 6th...headed into the weekend.

Had to share some of these shots from this morning. We are starting an adventure....to take photos all around town. We wanted to get this wall, but the only time the light is good and there aren't very many cars is before 7am, so we got up at 5am!!! They are so beautiful!! And the girl's wanted these a bit "funky" so the editing is kind of urban.

 

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

March 4th.....being creative

Tyler is so full of life and makes everyone around him smile. I am so grateful for you Tyler!!!  I am just feeling grateful for everything today, do you ever have days like those? Where you just seem to be very aware of things? Well that day is today for me. I am grateful for my family. For a very wonderful and supportive husband, for amazing children who are helpful, insightful, and give so much. I am grateful for my parents and for their support, for an amazing Mother in law!!! For sisters and my brother and sister in laws. Just for friendship in general. I am so grateful for my faith in Jesus Christ and for a gospel that leads and guides me. I am grateful for prayer, I am grateful for scriptures, I am grateful for Family Home Evening, and most of all I am grateful for an eternal marrige that allows my family to be forever.

I am grateful for a job that allows me to be creative each and every day!! I think it keeps me sane, plus I have always been drawn to scrapbooking I think because you have this small canvas in which you can actually complete a project in 30 min give or take, so you are able to actually accomplish things, where drawings or paintings can take me a week or more. I am grateful for Teresa and the talent that she has of creating such beautiful papers for me to work with. Do you notice that no matter how many projects that I have done with a paper line it never gets old or dull, I can continue to create and love it just as much as the first day I created, now that says something!! THANK YOU!!

March 4th....a day with my sister

Thanks Liz for a great visit yesterday. She came over for a bit and we took the kids down to the park. I haven't taken any pictures of Owen in awhile and I thought it was time...he is SO cute!!!

 

One thing to note on these photos.....I made the mistake of leaving on my 50mm 1.8 to shoot a boy who doesn't EVER sit still!! So while these aren't the best shots I think he is still SO cute!!

 

 

And this is Owen saying NO MORE!!! I know blurry, but sometimes when you have the moment captured ...blurry or not you just have to keep it!

March 3rd.....oh so cute

OK so I missed a few days. We have just been having pure family time. Concerts, softball games, Family Home Evening, and just being together, But I did manage to capture these while Zack was practicing his cello. He has a big solo this weekend!!!
